Orthoceras was an ancient predatory marine animal that lived approximately 350 million years ago. These fossils were found in all of the temperate oceans of the world including the Mediterranean Sea. Orthoceras was a formidable hunter reaching lengths up to 14 feet and ate trilobites and crustaceans.
These fossils make a wonderful addition to any collection.
